Head of Risk

About the role

OKX is seeking an experienced risk leader to head the risk management function for its Turkey operations. You will own the local enterprise risk management framework, provide independent oversight, and advise senior management, the Risk Committee and the Board on risk profile and remediation priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the local risk function, embedding clear accountability and a strong risk culture across OKX Turkey.
• Own and maintain the enterprise risk management framework, policies and procedures, aligning group standards with Turkish regulatory requirements.
• Conduct enterprise risk assessments, maintain the risk register, and challenge control effectiveness.
• Develop risk appetite and limits for Board approval, monitor key risk indicators and escalate material concerns.
• Provide independent oversight of technology, cybersecurity, data and crypto‑asset custody risks.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal on regulatory developments, financial crime and customer protection risks.
• Oversee outsourcing and third‑party risk, including due diligence and exit arrangements.
• Work with Finance and Group specialists on capital, liquidity, market, credit and counter‑party risk controls.
• Manage operational resilience, business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Act as senior risk contact for local management and regulatory engagement.

Required profile

• Valid Capital Market Activities Level 3 Licence (Sermaye Piyasası Faaliyetleri Düzey 3 Lisansı) maintained in good standing.
• Approximately ten years of relevant risk management experience in financial services or capital markets, preferably with brokerage or crypto‑asset exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish capital‑markets regulation and the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
• Proven expertise in enterprise and operational risk, outsourcing governance, operational resilience and financial risk.
• Excellent analytical judgement, communication skills and experience presenting to Boards and senior committees.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related field; certifications such as FRM, CFA or CAMS are desirable.
• Fluent in Turkish and English.
