Indirect Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Procurement Category Manager to lead a broad indirect procurement portfolio within a large‑scale, technology‑enabled consumer services organization in Turkey. The role involves developing category strategies, driving sourcing initiatives, and partnering closely with business stakeholders across multiple functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category management and sourcing strategies across multiple indirect procurement categories.
• Lead supplier selection, tendering, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management.
• Manage procurement activities for supply chain & logistics, warehousing & transportation, field operations, IT & cyber security, marketing, digital, sales, HR, finance, legal and other corporate services.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted procurement business partner.
• Drive cost optimisation, value creation, supplier innovation and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Lead contract lifecycle management and ensure governance and compliance.
• Manage, coach and develop a team of procurement specialists.
• Support business transformation projects and continuously improve procurement processes.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, preferably in indirect procurement and category management.
• Proven experience managing multiple procurement categories and complex sourcing projects.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience working with cross‑functional stakeholders in matrix organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cost‑saving and value‑creation initiatives.
• Previous team management or leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP (knowledge is a plus)
