Lead Project Controller

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a Lead Project Controller for its Project Controls function in Ankara. The role ensures rigor around schedule and cost management so that projects are delivered on time and within budget, supporting diverse projects in the energy transition. The position requires living in Ankara.

Key responsibilities

• Build tender schedules and cost estimates, support tenders and oversee project planning
• Develop project schedules and budgets in relevant tools, and maintain schedule, cost forecasts and actual/committed cost registers
• Monitor cost movements, productivity, scope and progress against forecasts, and analyze trends to provide schedule and cost forecasts
• Maintain schedule and cost risk registers, and update systems to reflect current cost and schedule status
• Report project status internally and externally, and communicate costs, schedules, forecasts and risks to project teams and cost owners
• Present financial and project control data in reviews, and collaborate with PMs, Finance Controllers, cost owners and third parties
• Support project closeout and claims, and reconcile approved project financial data with accounting books
• Ensure compliance with global standards, WBS, processes and tools, and report quality issues promptly
• Support cost reduction strategies, lean improvement initiatives and the efficiency of the cost control team
• Demonstrate commitment to health and safety

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• At least 4 years of experience planning large turnkey projects
• At least 2 years of experience in cost controlling on large turnkey projects
• Ability to live in Ankara
• Strong oral and written English

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of planning and use of Primavera
• MS Project knowledge
• Cost estimating and forecasting
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired characteristics include a degree in electrical or civil engineering, knowledge of cost control, Grid Solutions and GIS substations, forensic analysis on large turnkey projects, and clear communication and influencing skills. Relocation assistance is not provided.
