M&A Senior / Manager

About the role

EY Parthenon's Mergers and Acquisitions team in Istanbul provides advisory services for buy-side and sell-side transactions, including complex domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures and other strategic deals. The firm is looking for a Senior / Manager to join the team and work on strategic M&A and capital market assignments, collaborating closely with senior decision-makers at leading corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Work in a telescopic team structure on multiple M&A projects, focusing on transaction execution and business development
• Draft marketing materials such as teasers, information memoranda, management presentations and potential pitch decks
• Lead financial modeling and valuation exercises for current and potential clients
• Assist in the full transaction execution process, coordinate due diligence phases and often act as the main contact person
• Take part actively in external meetings
• Supervise and coach senior assistants, helping them improve their contribution and develop their capabilities
• Contribute to the EY Parthenon team and the local EY practice

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable university in finance, business administration, engineering or another related field with a strong quantitative focus
• A Master's degree (Finance or MBA) or another related field is a plus
• 4+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, deal advisory, business development and/or strategy
• Advanced business writing and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish

Required skills

• Business modeling and financial analysis, including the ability to build three-statement integrated financial models
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to multi-task and manage expectations across several time-sensitive projects
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and teamwork
