Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Omya is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its Kemalpaşa plant in İzmir. The role focuses on planning, executing and monitoring maintenance activities to ensure reliable plant operations and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and control weekly, monthly and annual maintenance programs in line with the group plan.
• Manage spare parts inventory, prepare purchase plans and report usage.
• Support plant budgeting and cost‑control activities.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of breakdowns and recurring defects.
• Drive lean manufacturing practices such as 5S.
• Collaborate with production teams to execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
• Participate actively in plant projects and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety documentation.
• Organise training for maintenance personnel and maintain related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production‑oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Analytical thinking with a result‑ and quality‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• SAP knowledge.
