About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Franchise Management to lead the Specialty Merchant Registration Program for high‑risk acquirers in Istanbul. The role will act as the main point of contact for acquirers handling specialty merchants such as crypto, gambling, and tobacco, helping them meet Mastercard standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface with high‑risk acquirers and internal customer‑facing teams.
• Guide acquirers through onboarding, registration and transaction‑coding requirements for specialty merchants.
• Strengthen acquirers’ merchant screening processes and monitor emerging risk signals in transaction data.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Mastercard standards, local laws and regulatory requirements.
• Educate partners on the dynamics of the specialty merchant ecosystem and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Dynamic, energetic professional with deep knowledge of the merchant acquiring domain.
• Experience working with high‑risk acquirer licenses and specialty merchant categories.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable steps.
