Manager of Learning Programs

About the role

The Manager of Learning Programs partners with the Senior Director of Organization & Culture Development to design, deliver, and oversee learning initiatives that support staff growth and retention across the Conservancy. This role is part of the People & Culture team and focuses on both operational and professional development programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage learning offerings for the Park Operations Academy, including the School of Groundskeeping and School of Custodial Services.
• Create and facilitate a variety of manager and employee trainings.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to refine existing programs and expand the learning portfolio.
• Research external training options, compile findings, and communicate recommendations to managers and learners.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, attendance tracking, and coordination with external consultants and training providers.
• Administer the defensive driving program, track certificates, log completions in Workday, and follow up with employees who need training.
• Deliver defensive driving training sessions to Conservancy staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating learning or training programs, preferably in a nonprofit or public‑sector environment.
• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with leaders, trainers, and participants.
• Familiarity with adult‑learning principles and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
