Managing Associate - Corporate, Maritime and Dispute Resolution

About the role

Ülken Law Firm is looking for a Managing Associate with 5-7 years of professional experience to join its growing team in Istanbul. The firm seeks a motivated, detail-oriented and commercially minded lawyer ready to take responsibility, manage complex legal matters and help grow the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and advise on a broad range of legal matters, focusing on corporate and commercial law, maritime law and dispute resolution.
• Handle litigation and dispute resolution proceedings, including representing clients before courts and other authorities.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex contracts and legal documentation.
• Provide strategic, commercially oriented legal advice to domestic and international clients.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate legal matters independently.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Qualified to practise law in Turkey.
• Strong experience in litigation and dispute resolution and in legal advisory work.
• Ability to manage several matters independently and work under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Legal drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
