Planning Engineer

About the role

REED Turkey is recruiting a Planning Engineer on behalf of its client in the manufacturing sector. The role covers production planning, MRP execution in the Canias ERP system, master production scheduling and capacity planning.

Key responsibilities

• Execute MRP processes through the Canias ERP system to identify material requirements and support procurement.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Master Production Schedules (MPS) in line with customer orders and inventory targets.
• Plan capacity for production work centers, identify bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor daily production output, analyse deviations from plan and revise schedules accordingly.
• Track inventory of critical domestic and imported components and help optimise inventory.
• Report key KPIs such as OTIF, capacity utilisation and production efficiency.
• Keep routing, work center and BOM data accurate in the ERP and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in production and material planning, preferably in high-volume assembly, automotive supplier or white goods manufacturing.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems in production planning, MRP and inventory management; Canias ERP experience highly preferred.
• Experience in inventory management, safety stock planning, lead time management and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills, with a team-oriented, proactive approach.

Required skills

• Bill of Materials (BOM), routing management and capacity planning knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel with data analysis and reporting.
• MRP and ERP systems (Canias ERP preferred).
