Principal Solution Architect - Telecom BSS

About the role

PiA delivers custom IT business solutions and managed services, especially in Business Support Systems (BSS), since 2009. It is looking for a Principal Solution Architect to own the end-to-end solution architecture of telecom BSS projects built on DNext, its cloud-native, event-driven, TM Forum-compliant BSS suite. The role connects business, enterprise and technical architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Run stakeholder, scoping and requirement workshops, and hold scope against the agreed baseline.
• Identify gaps against the DNext baseline, recommend TM Forum and industry best practices, and challenge requirements that deviate from them.
• Align solutions with the customer's enterprise architecture and advise on program-level architecture across BSS, OSS and enterprise systems.
• Prepare solution documentation (BRS, SRS, HLD/LLD, journeys, catalog and process models, integration specs) and build the project backlog.
• Support delivery teams and defect triage, and report risks and change requests to the Project Manager.
• Act as design authority: set standards and review and approve solution documents.

Required profile

• 10+ years in telecom BSS, including 5+ years as a solution or integration architect in customer-facing projects.
• Proven end-to-end architecture experience across BSS domains and their integration with OSS and enterprise systems; working knowledge of TOGAF.
• Advisory experience on multi-vendor programs and with senior stakeholders.
• Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Native Turkish and fluent English.

Required skills

• Deep TM Forum knowledge (eTOM, ODA, TMF Open APIs including schema extensions).
• Party, lead-to-order, catalog modelling, and order and fulfillment design.
• Integration design (REST, SOAP, file-based), BPMN, data migration mapping and RBAC design.
• Cloud, microservices and event-driven architectural understanding.
• Nice to have: TOGAF certification, Apache Kafka, Camunda BPM, Keycloak.
