Process Engineer - Powder Coatings

About the role

Jotun Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., a paint manufacturer producing marine, protective, powder coatings and decorative paints, is looking for a Process Engineer for its powder coatings business in Tekirdag. The role creates and maintains optimised production processes and formulations that deliver the right quality and quantity of products, with right first time and stable throughput.

Key responsibilities

• Make formulations available for production with specific, optimised process parameters
• Update and change processes as required by Group and Regional R&D
• Support and coach production operators on process optimisation every day
• Optimise processes to stay competitive locally, within the framework set by regional and global R&D
• Give technical support and work closely with maintenance
• Follow up process and quality deviations and investigate product complaints
• Describe the local production process so operators can train sustainably, and give training to relevant personnel
• Evaluate needs for improvement
• Provide compliance documents according to standards such as IATF, ISO, REACH, RoHS and food contact

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication; native Turkish
• Currently living in or willing to relocate to Beylikdüzü, Silivri, Çerkezköy, Çorlu or Kapaklı

Required skills

• Good knowledge of process equipment and polymer chemistry
• Knowledge of production organisation tools such as 5S and SMED is preferred
