Procurement Buyer – Trucks

About the role

As a Procurement Buyer for the truck business at Mercedes‑Benz Türk, you will manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities for assigned material groups. You will work closely with international procurement teams, suppliers and internal engineering to ensure optimal cost, quality and delivery performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead negotiation processes for assigned scopes to optimise cost, lead‑time and quality.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, supplier roadmaps and mid‑ to long‑term supplier portfolios.
• Conduct market analyses, evaluate supplier capabilities and perform structured supplier evaluations.
• Support new product introductions and engineering projects through RFQ preparation, cost breakdowns and early supplier involvement.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement across the product life‑cycle.
• Perform domestic and international supplier visits, audits and cross‑location workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in a production or industrial environment.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and analyse technical drawings, specifications and Bill of Materials.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for supplier activities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem‑solving abilities.
