Program Manager – FinTech

About the role

This fully remote position is for an experienced Program Manager to lead complex, multi‑project initiatives in the banking and financial technology sector. You will ensure strategic alignment, regulatory compliance, and delivery of high‑impact digital finance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and oversee program governance structures, including RACI matrices, steering committees, and compliance checkpoints.
• Align multi‑project portfolios with organizational strategy and deliver measurable business value.
• Develop and maintain program roadmaps, budgets, milestones, resource plans, and KPIs.
• Lead and mentor project managers and cross‑functional leads across engineering, QA, cybersecurity, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and SAMA.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program‑level risks and inter‑project dependencies.
• Provide executive‑level reporting on progress, financial performance, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate technology transformation initiatives involving cloud platforms, microservices, API ecosystems, and DevSecOps.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of project/program management experience, with 5+ years in banking or fintech.
• Proven success managing complex, regulated, multi‑project programs.
• Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI PgMP, or SAFe Portfolio Management.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Program governance and PMO frameworks.
• Scaled agile methodologies (SAFe, LeSS, Disciplined Agile Delivery).
• Regulatory knowledge: PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2, SOC 2, ISO 27001, SAMA.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• Modern architectures: microservices, API ecosystems, DevSecOps.
