SAP BW Lead

About the role

Mapa, a global engineering and construction company, is looking for an experienced SAP BW Lead for a permanent, full-time, on-site position in Maslak, Istanbul. The lead designs, develops, maintains and improves SAP BW solutions so that data warehousing and reporting are reliable, scalable and high performing. The role works closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, internal IT teams and external service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve SAP BW and related BI solutions in line with business needs
• Analyse reporting, data analytics and decision-support requirements and design appropriate SAP BW solutions
• Monitor SAP BW system performance and carry out optimisation activities
• Coordinate integration with BI and reporting tools and work with business units on their requirements
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants during development, maintenance and support
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP projects, from analysis and design through testing, go-live and post-go-live support
• Ensure compliance with data quality, integrity and security standards
• Maintain technical, user and process documentation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field
• At least 8-10 years of experience in SAP BW / SAP BW/4HANA, preferably with team leadership or project management experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to an on-site model; no travel restrictions for business trips
• Good command of written and spoken English
