Senior Accounting, Compliance and Reporting Assistant

About the role

Join EY's Accounting Compliance and Reporting (ACR) team in Istanbul as a Senior Assistant. You will support clients with daily accounting, month‑end close, tax compliance and payroll processing while collaborating with shared service centres and tax teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review daily accounting transactions for clients.
• Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain reconciliations with related parties and third parties.
• Prepare tax returns, compliance filings and client payrolls.
• Coordinate with shared service centres, overseas tax teams and local tax offices.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement applicable updates.
• Supervise engagement teams and collaborate with other EY Tax sub‑service lines.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 2‑7 years of general accounting experience.
• Strong analytical abilities and team‑player mindset.
• Flexibility to work varied hours.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficiency.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of MS NAV, SAP or Oracle accounting systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with e‑applications such as e‑invoice and e‑ledger.
