Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Intertech is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to manage cloud environments on Google Cloud, set up and optimise systems and clusters, and improve DevOps processes. The role sits in a dynamic team and offers work on international projects with new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cloud environments on Google Cloud.
• Set up, administer, secure and optimise the performance of systems and clusters.
• Design system architecture and integrate innovations into the system.
• Update applications and software running on the systems.
• Manage CI/CD infrastructure and security-related activities.
• Research global DevOps best practices and implement process improvements.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities in managed systems.
• Plan and configure systems to ensure continuous, uninterrupted service.
• Prepare and provide regular reports.

Required profile

• University graduate in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps.
• Experience installing and configuring technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, OpenShift, Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience in DevOps, static code analysis, build automation and deployment automation.
• Knowledge of web servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx, HAProxy), server-client architectures and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Preferred: knowledge of CI/CD products (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), microservices, Kanban and Scrum, Linux, shell scripting, test automation, RabbitMQ and the ELK stack.
