Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead monthly closing, budgeting and reporting for Tarfin’s group of companies. The role combines deep analytical work with proactive process improvement in a fast‑growing fintech environment supporting agriculture.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the monthly closing activities of all Tarfin group entities.
• Coordinate and consolidate monthly management reports for senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain the annual budgeting process, including monthly budget reviews and variance analysis.
• Identify accounting and finance risks, design new control mechanisms and ensure their successful implementation.
• Lead the coordination of the annual external audit together with auditors and the internal accounting team.
• Collaborate with the Product team to enhance the Tarfin platform and its financial outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline from a top university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial controlling, forecasting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent analytical mindset with the ability to drive operational changes.
• Highly motivated self‑starter comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial analysis and modelling.
• Understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
