Senior Purchasing Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to lead indirect procurement activities for Tchibo’s retail and coffee business in Turkey. The role will partner with internal stakeholders and the Tchibo GmbH headquarters to secure goods and services that support our operations while driving cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Execute indirect material and service procurement in line with Tchibo Purchasing Guidelines.
• Gather department requirements, conduct supplier research, and manage selection and approval processes.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve competitive pricing and meet business needs.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute to profitability targets.
• Prepare tender documents, coordinate tender processes, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support supplier evaluation, performance improvement, and audit activities.
• Collaborate with legal advisors on service agreements and contract reviews.
• Assist with purchasing budget planning, expense tracking, and reporting.
• Monitor market trends and supplier developments to enhance procurement effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in indirect purchasing, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management and tender operations.
• Strong analytical mindset, proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
