Senior Software Engineer – Financial Crime Prevention

About the role

Yapı Kredi Technology is looking for a Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain security applications that support AML compliance and financial crime investigation. The role is part of an agile team that builds micro‑services and APIs for high‑traffic, distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and debug new micro‑services and APIs for the Financial Crime Prevention system.
• Maintain existing applications to ensure high performance and availability.
• Collaborate with various IT teams and share knowledge with stakeholders.
• Anticipate emerging financial‑crime techniques and implement software controls.
• Close identified vulnerabilities and define standards to resist financial‑crime attacks.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, database design and problem solving.
• Experience with high‑traffic, distributed systems and scalability strategies.

Required skills

• Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate).
• Message brokers such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• RESTful API and gRPC web‑service design.
• Relational databases (Oracle preferred) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Couchbase).
• Version control with Git and Git Flow.
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
• Frontend development with React or similar frameworks.
