System Engineer – Virtualization & Cloud Platform Management

About the role

As a member of the Infrastructure team at Yapı Kredi Technology, you will design, operate and continuously improve enterprise virtualization platforms that support mission‑critical banking applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer and optimise enterprise VMware virtualization environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance and operational continuity of the virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform system upgrades, patch management and hardware refreshes with minimal business impact.
• Monitor health, resolve performance and capacity issues using VMware management tools.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems and provide root‑cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain virtualization standards, procedures and documentation in line with IT policies and banking regulations.
• Participate in architecture and application projects, providing virtualization expertise.
• Conduct Proof‑of‑Concept activities for new infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
• Collaborate with storage, network, cloud and security teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to automation initiatives using PowerShell and Python.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience designing and managing VMware virtualization solutions.
