Senior Technical Account Manager - Veeam

About the role

Veeam, a data and AI trust company headquartered in Seattle, is looking for a Technical Account Manager based in Ankara, working from home combined with face-to-face customer visits. The role covers the planning, architecture, coordination and management of professional services engagements, with a focus on availability solutions including data protection and monitoring. It suits someone who is an expert in data management, analytics, business continuity, cloud, storage, virtualisation and networking.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to proposals and Statements of Work, and support delivery of implementation and consulting services
• Provide overall project guidance: plans, schedules, communication and resource plans, status updates
• Assist with solution assessment and design, post-installation issues and implementation effort estimation
• Create white papers, solution guides, best practices and custom documentation
• Deliver onsite knowledge transfer, document configuration and analyse installed environments to guide optimal Veeam configurations
• Facilitate communication between clients and Veeam support and identify additional needs solvable with Veeam
• Give input on improving processes and documentation, and undertake overnight travel

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in technology; a combination of education and experience will be considered
• Proven consulting and project management experience
• Extensive experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, and with storage, networking and enterprise applications
• Experience with disruptive storage systems (Nimble, Nexsan, Actifio, Veeam) and traditional storage and backup architectures (EMC, NetApp, IBM, HP/3PAR, Hitachi, Dell)
• Business proficiency in Turkish and English

Required skills

• VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE or equivalent
• Prince2, ITIL, PMP or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with Fibre Channel, Ethernet and cloud services
• Enterprise applications such as Exchange, SQL and Oracle
