Software Developer (Backend, Node.js)

About the role

Marti, founded in 2018, is Turkey's leading mobility app, offering ride-hailing services and a fleet of rental e-mopeds, e-bikes and e-scooters powered by proprietary software and IoT infrastructure. It is looking for a backend developer who can design, build and maintain production-grade services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript
• Build reliable REST APIs and asynchronous services, and improve production microservices
• Take ownership of development tasks from implementation through delivery, working confidently in an existing production codebase
• Write automated unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers, and take part in code reviews
• Troubleshoot production issues and turn business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Communicate progress, risks and blockers early, and contribute to backend architecture and engineering best practices

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience
• Experience in Agile teams, strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code

Required skills

• Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript
• RESTful APIs and microservices in production
• PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Redis for caching or distributed locking
• Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar message-based systems
• Git in a collaborative environment
