Software Developer – Mobile Financial Services

About the role

Ericsson Mobile Financial Services is looking for a Software Developer to join the Ericsson Wallet Platform team. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, building and improving software, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines that power mobile financial services for millions of users across Africa and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions and internal automation tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Create automation scripts using Python and Bash to boost development, testing, and operational efficiency.
• Build and manage containerised environments with Docker and Podman.
• Support application deployment and orchestration across IAT, SIT, UAT and Production using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Develop web‑based automation platforms with Python, Flask and PostgreSQL.
• Maintain Java‑based applications using Jakarta EE, EJB and Quarkus.
• Integrate AI services and APIs into internal tools to improve productivity.
• Design and execute load and performance tests with Locust, analyse results and recommend improvements.
• Apply secure coding practices, perform unit, component and integration testing, and troubleshoot issues across environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing software and automation solutions in an agile setting.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with operations, testing and product teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
