Steward

About the role

Rixos, a hotel group founded in 2000 in Turkey known for its all-inclusive, all-exclusive concept, is hiring a Steward. The role covers cleaning and dishwashing duties in the hotel's food and beverage division, with flexibility to rotate between sub-departments and other areas of the hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional and efficient service following Rixos standards of performance.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and keep the work area clean and organised.
• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen utensils to performance standards, and empty rubbish bins on schedule.
• Use operating supplies carefully to reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Understand and follow HACCP procedures.
• Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and report unresolved complaints to supervisors.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, bi-yearly and yearly inventory of operating equipment.
• Attend staff meetings, departmental and hotel trainings, and report for duty punctually in uniform.
• Be flexible and ready to take on other reasonable duties or move to another department as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior stewarding experience preferred.
• Physical stamina and reliability.
• Attention to cleanliness and detail, ability to follow instructions.
