Tax Manager

About the role

PepsiCo is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, reporting, and strategic initiatives across the organization. The role will ensure accurate tax filings, manage VAT refunds, and support the month‑end close while collaborating closely with Finance, IT, Legal, and Sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly ETR, AOP stage, and actual data to assess tax positions.
• Prepare and submit monthly FAS109 schedules and calculate deferred tax.
• Manage VAT refund processes, VAT accounting, and withholding tax reviews.
• Lead system development projects, coordinating with Finance, IT, Legal, and Sales.
• Maintain internal controls for tax processes and ensure compliance with new tax laws.
• Oversee tax-related sub‑ledger reconciliations and COSO (SOX) documentation.
• Handle tax inspections, provide advisory support, and manage court processes for VAT refunds.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process for tax obligations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of finance experience with strong accounting and tax expertise.
• Relevant tax certification (e.g., SMMM) preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional tax projects and manage risk.
