Tax Specialist

About the role

As a Tax Specialist at Evyap, you will support the accounting team by ensuring accurate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external tax authorities to manage VAT, withholding, stamp, provisional, and corporate tax obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Review month‑end closing activities and perform tax controls.
• Prepare and file monthly VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax, provisional tax, and corporate tax returns.
• Conduct trial balance controls, reconciliations, and VAT refund processes.
• Support tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Assess contracts for tax compliance and perform stamp tax assessments.
• Prepare statutory and other tax‑related reports.
• Execute monthly e‑Ledger submissions.
• Provide accounting and tax advisory support within the company.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of tax experience, preferably in a Big Four firm, audit tax advisory, or a multinational tax department.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish Uniform Chart of Accounts and Turkish tax legislation.
• Familiarity with Special Consumption Tax is an asset.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (MS Office) proficiency.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT refund processes.
• CPA (SMMM) license or enrollment in a CPA internship program.
