Technology Automation Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)

About the role

Ford Otosan is looking for a Technology Automation Engineer (mechanical engineering background) to join its Kocaeli-Gölcük factory in Yeniköy. The role supports the safe, high-quality and sustainable production of the facility and contributes to a self-sufficient organization by giving employees the competence, authority and responsibility they need.

Key responsibilities

• Support and guide the Operational Technology and Automation team in eliminating malfunctions and problems
• Control and analyse efficiency, breakdowns, bottlenecks and periodic maintenance progress in MOS meetings with the OT/Automation team
• Plan the EM budget and carry out proposals, analyses and decisions related to spare parts detection
• Organise efficiency, localisation and alternative product studies based on spare parts consumption analysis
• Establish planned maintenance, optimise and revise processes, and support chronic failures where expert line knowledge is insufficient
• Determine and promote predictive maintenance, and define special maintenance outside planned schedules and Maximo maintenance plans
• Manage project commissioning and ensure facilities, equipment and systems meet ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 14064 and ISO 50001
• Follow production processes, solve bottlenecks and chronic malfunctions, and monitor technology, innovations and competitors

Required profile

• Graduate of control-automation, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
• Openness to learning, continuous improvement mindset and adaptability to rapid change
• Good communication, planning and organisational skills, and ability to work in teams
• Strategic, result-oriented and financially aware
