Unity Game Developer (PC & Console)

About the role

Indie Souls Studio is an indie game studio founded by experienced developers, aiming to make high-quality, original games for PC and consoles. It is looking for a Unity developer to build its next games from scratch and keep released games running. Seniority is not required: what matters is shipped code.

Key responsibilities

• Build new games in C# and Unity from prototype to Steam launch.
• Set up and maintain the networking layer on co-op projects.
• Carry the infrastructure: Steam integration (achievements, cloud saves), save system, performance and crash diagnostics.
• Fix bugs and ship updates for released games.
• Test code with Unity Test Runner; writing tests is a rule, not a preference.

Required profile

• At least one shipped or playable piece of work in Unity and C#.
• Hands-on experience with physics, profiling and memory.
• Comfortable with Git, including LFS and scene merge conflicts.
• Habit of readable, testable code: game logic kept separate from MonoBehaviour.

Nice to have

• Multplayer or co-op experience (Netcode for GameObjects, Photon, Steam networking).
• Steamworks, Sentry, FMOD or UI systems (WPF).
• URP shaders, lightmap baking, Steam Deck or gamepad support.

The studio works in a small team with a short decision path, and expects openness to its custom development tools.
