Workshop Service Technician – Service Center

About the role

ABB is seeking a Workshop Service Technician to join its İzmir Service Center. The role involves maintaining and repairing electric motors and generators, supporting both workshop and on‑site customer activities, and ensuring high service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on electric motors and generators in the workshop.
• Execute service plans prepared by the Service Engineer, both in‑house and at customer sites.
• Prepare service test reports and documentation to meet quality standards.
• Maintain service tools, equipment, and testing devices in good working condition.

Required profile

• Vocational High School or College graduate in Electrical Engineering/Technology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar service role.
• Experience with high‑voltage motor and generator maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• Residency in or willingness to relocate to İzmir.
• Valid Class B driving licence.

Required skills

• Maintenance and repair of electric motors and generators.
• Mechanical assembly, disassembly and testing.
• MIG/MAG and stick welding.
• Lathe machine operation.
• Use of cutting discs, grinding tools and hand tools.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
