Accounting and Finance Specialist – Istanbul

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting and Finance Specialist to join our Istanbul headquarters. The role supports the financial operations of a 100% foreign‑capital maritime and logistics group, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with Turkish tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct reconciliation meetings for domestic customer collections and vendor payments.
• Control and book transactions for bank accounts, current accounts, cheques, and petty cash.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Customer Aging Report (CAR), Supplier Aging Report (SAR), BCL and EI reports.
• Manage e‑Ledger (E‑Defter) processes and support the preparation of financial statements.
• Execute general accounting operations in line with tax legislation, accounting procedures and regulations.
• Create accounting entries according to the chart of accounts and review VAT, stamp duty returns and VAT refund lists.
• Oversee invoicing and payment processes and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar accounting position.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and relevant Turkish legislation.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with e‑Ledger (E‑Defter) processes.
