Accounting Manager – Life Sciences Industry

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for an international life sciences company. The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with multiple accounting standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger, month‑end and year‑end closing, and financial reporting.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, handling workload distribution, performance management and professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, US GAAP, IFRS and SOX requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable, tax compliance, statutory filings and internal/external audit coordination.
• Identify financial risks, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of accounting and finance experience, including team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting regulations, US GAAP, IFRS and SOX.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Finance and advanced Excel.
• Proven ability to improve processes, standardise procedures and manage priorities.
