Backend Developer (Full Stack) - Hybrid

About the role

Pegasus Airlines, a low-cost Turkish airline operating connecting flights to more than 56 countries, is hiring a Backend Developer (Full Stack) in a hybrid setting. You will build and maintain backend applications and services, work in an Agile team with Product, Web, Mobile, QA and DevOps colleagues, and contribute to code reviews, automated testing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field
• 2-4 years of professional backend development experience, with hands-on experience developing and maintaining backend applications and services
• Team player eager to learn, with a customer-first mindset, good communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Comfortable working in an Agile team and collaborating with other engineering teams

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot, including dependency injection, application configuration and exception handling
• RESTful API development and integration; authentication, authorization and backward compatibility are a plus
• OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, clean code, unit testing and code reviews
• At least one relational or NoSQL database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch); Redis is a plus
• Git, CI/CD workflows and automated builds; Docker is a plus
• AI-assisted development with tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or GitHub Copilot, and ability to review AI-generated code
• Preferred: Azure or AWS, Kubernetes, serverless, event-driven architectures, Kotlin (Android) or Swift (iOS), and experience with high-traffic applications
