Cashier – Restaurant

About the role

The Galata Istanbul Hotel, a MGallery boutique hotel in the Beyoğlu area of Istanbul, is looking for a cashier for its restaurant. The full-time position covers daily cash handling, payments and end-of-day reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out the restaurant's daily cash transactions accurately and completely.
• Use the Micros POS system and magnetic stripe card terminals effectively.
• Handle cash, credit card and other payment methods.
• Open and close the cash register each day and prepare cash reports.
• Follow up deposits, account checks, payments and invoicing.
• Check cash movements and payment records regularly.
• Reconcile the daily cash and report any discrepancies to management.
• Support the restaurant's operations and teamwork.

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant, hotel or food and beverage setting.
• Ability to work shift schedules and flexible hours.
• Good communication skills, team player and responsible.
• No transport problems reaching the Beyoğlu district.

Required skills

• Experience with the Micros POS system.
• Experience with magnetic stripe card terminals and payment systems.
• Knowledge of cash handling, collections and closing procedures.
• Basic cash reporting and reconciliation.
