Certification & Standardization Assistant Specialist

About the role

Freebird Airlines, an international leisure airline operating a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft and backed by Gözen Holding, is looking for a Certification & Standardization Assistant Specialist. The role supports the reporting manager with certification and standardization tasks, including monitoring aviation regulations, maintaining manuals and certificates, and coordinating delivery and redelivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze new and revised aviation regulations from authorities such as EASA, Turkish DGCA and UK CAA, and assess their impact on operations, manuals and certificates (AOC, TCO).
• Prepare impact summaries for the reporting manager and track action items across departments so regulatory updates are reflected in company documents.
• Maintain liaison with regulatory authorities and perform compliance checks of departmental documents and company manuals.
• Follow up on the validity and renewal of approvals and certificates, and support the maintenance of the departmental manual and distribution of documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate application packages for AOC, Operations Specifications and aircraft certificates, and coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Coordinate the Aircraft Delivery/Redelivery process with all departments and assist the reporting manager and deputies with routine, non-approval tasks.
• Optimize the Integrated Management System for efficiency.

Required profile

• Preferably a bachelor's degree in aeronautical/aerospace or industrial engineering, or another engineering discipline or aviation-related field.
• Strong English proficiency; a second language is preferred.
• Good computer skills and working experience with MS Office.
• Familiarity with international civil aviation regulations and good understanding of compliance standards.
• Experience in compliance management in aviation is an advantage.
• Ability to handle a high workload, multiple priorities and deadlines, and to work with staff at all levels.
