Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure that powers AI applications, intelligent agents, and data products. The role is fully remote and supports a major international logistics organization, focusing on Microsoft Azure with exposure to AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure for AI workloads, APIs, data pipelines and data products.
• Develop reusable IaC modules, deployment templates and observability patterns.
• Automate provisioning, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, secrets management and cost controls.
• Contribute to cloud architecture decisions for event‑driven services and modern data platforms.
• Implement and maintain cloud security standards, including identity, encryption and resilience.
• Establish monitoring, alerting and operational practices to improve availability and performance.
• Collaborate with country‑level IT teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to onboard environments and scale use cases.
• Support the transition of AI and data solutions from development to production‑ready environments.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure and practical exposure to AWS.
• Strong background in infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, monitoring and logging.
• Solid programming skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
• Understanding of data engineering fundamentals such as ETL, data pipelines and storage solutions.
• Experience working with geographically distributed, cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
