Compliance Manager

About the role

iyzico, a payment technology company acquired by PayU in 2019, is looking for a Compliance Manager. The role covers identifying compliance issues affecting local business operations, managing regulator relations and overseeing AML/CFT and ethics compliance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify compliance issues that may affect local business operations and own and guide the development of compliance strategies and policies.
• Manage relationships with regulators and industry associations, including TCMB, MASAK and TÖDEB, and oversee regulatory audits.
• Identify gaps in processes and products, propose solutions and mitigate compliance risks.
• Implement and manage AML/CFT and ethics compliance programmes, and maintain the regulatory compliance framework in line with new laws and standards.
• Carry out independent research on AML/CFT risk exposures, write assessments and report findings to management.
• Assess new products and features against applicable rules, manage and report on internal investigations, and collaborate with Risk Operations, Legal, ERM and Internal Control teams.
• Manage external service providers and their budgets, and represent the company in working groups where necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in compliance units of financial institutions.
• Valid MASAK Compliance Officer licence.
• Experience with management teams and international teams; team management experience.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and logical thinking.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of local and global AML/CFT requirements and the payment service provider business model.
• Excellent English, spoken and written.
