Compliance Specialist

About the role

Uludağ Enerji's Legal & Compliance team is expanding and is looking for a Compliance Specialist to support its Compliance Program. You will bring proven experience in monitoring and evaluating governance and risk, and in developing solutions and updating policies so that compliance remains effective. The role focuses on ethics, fraud awareness, risk management, conflicts of interest and whistleblowing, and reports to the Legal & Compliance Director.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the Code of Ethics and other compliance policies are understood and implemented across the organisation
• Support the Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) framework, develop presentations and report it to management
• Draft, maintain, communicate and update compliance policies, procedures and process documentation
• Monitor regulatory changes and update compliance programs accordingly
• Deliver guidance, training and awareness activities on compliance, and evaluate their effectiveness
• Identify compliance risks and contribute to improving internal controls
• Lead internal investigations and approve compliance risk assessments for third parties
• Manage the ethics hotline, assist with ethics and compliance inquiries and incidents, and handle third-party due diligence, screening and conflict of interest management
• Approve gifts, hospitality, donations and events while keeping records
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit and IT, and prepare compliance reports for management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as Law, Finance or Business
• Interest in compliance processes and eagerness to build a career in this field
• Understanding of how to build a culture of integrity and compliance
• Fluent in English
• Experience delivering training programs
• Ability to report to and present findings to senior management
• Ability to lead projects and work in a matrixed, cross-functional environment

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of compliance best practices and risk management principles
• Excellent communication and analytical thinking skills
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and other analytical tools or platforms
