Component Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Join Ford Otosan as a Component Purchasing Specialist and take responsibility for sub‑assembly parts and components used in all vehicle production. You will manage supplier agreements, drive cost‑reduction initiatives and support the end‑to‑end procurement process for the automotive supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end management of third‑party agreements and bailment processes for component suppliers.
• Maintain supplier relations, represent Ford Otosan in negotiations and support business development activities.
• Develop business strategies for assigned component groups and collaborate with internal commodity buyers.
• Conduct market research for parts, moulds and fixtures, and manage order and price updates.
• Track price‑influencing parameters monthly, perform cost analyses and support cost‑control activities.
• Lead cost‑reduction projects, generate improvement ideas and manage supplier proposals.
• Coordinate with cross‑commodity purchasing specialists to align business plans and ensure seamless communication.
• Participate in capacity‑planning activities and visit suppliers as needed.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry, preferably in Electrical Distribution System commodities.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving attitude and result orientation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and hold a valid B‑category driving licence.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
