Director Operational Excellence

About the role

The Director Operational Excellence leads the transformation of Cardiopulmonary Operations, shaping a culture of continuous improvement across multiple sites. Reporting to the COO, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on execution to deliver sustainable business results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and execute the Operations Strategy for Cardiopulmonary Operations.
• Lead a portfolio of cross‑functional, cross‑site transformation programs covering Operational Excellence, NPI, footprint, supply chain and digital operations.
• Establish and run the PMO and Operations Council, providing governance, prioritisation and oversight of strategic projects.
• Partner with Site Directors and functional leaders to identify opportunities, align priorities and drive execution.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑impact Operational Excellence team of Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts.
• Act as a change leader, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Travel regularly between Hechingen, Rastatt and Antalya to ensure effective cross‑site collaboration.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven experience leading transformation initiatives in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably MedTech.
• Strong leadership, change‑management and stakeholder‑influence skills.
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
