F&B Barman

About the role

The F&B Barman prepares drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems and serves wine and champagne. The role also covers bar cleaning, stock control, cash handling and closing duties, and requires following company and safety policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders to recipe using measuring systems and issue, open and serve wine and champagne bottles
• Set up and keep the bar, bar unit, tables and tools clean and in good condition
• Prepare fresh garnishes, stock ice, glassware and paper supplies, and transport supplies to the bar set-up area
• Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled items from the bar top and tables
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs, and process all payment methods
• Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts and secure the bank
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas, and complete closing duties
• Follow company and safety/security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and speak clearly and professionally with colleagues

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move through narrow or uneven spaces
