Financial Control Specialist

About the role

The Financial Control Specialist safeguards hotel assets and financial resources, ensuring they are used efficiently to maximise operating results. You will work closely with the executive team to provide timely, accurate financial information and support profitable hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the annual business plan with the General Manager and Executive Committee.
• Conduct monthly P&L meetings and prepare accurate monthly forecasts and financial reports.
• Monitor and control revenues and expenses, recommending corrective actions when needed.
• Review cash positions, optimise fund usage, and ensure balance‑sheet reconciliations are signed monthly.
• Maintain contracts, leases, licences, insurance policies and all legal/financial documents.
• Act as the primary contact for auditors and implement audit recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field (or CPA/ACA/ACCA/MBA).
• Minimum 3 years experience as a financial controller, preferably in a 5‑star hotel chain.
• Fluent in Turkish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and deliver proactive solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software (specific systems not listed).
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, PCI DSS, local tax regulations and hotel accounting practices.
• Expertise in reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
