HSE Manager

About the role

ABB is looking for an HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environment initiatives within its operations. The role is based onsite and reports to the Local Division Manager, contributing to a safety‑focused culture across the ABB Motion business.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate HSE risk assessments and ensure implementation of preventive measures.
• Report HSE incidents, drive corrective actions and support incident investigations.
• Provide feedback on lessons learned and best practices across the unit and ABB.
• Track and renew HSE‑related legal permits and licenses, reporting status to the Country HSE Manager.
• Support Business Area and Division Managers in reporting progress on group‑level HSE objectives and KPIs.
• Assist line managers in understanding obligations under local HSE laws and group requirements.
• Promote behavioral change through implementation of performance improvement programs.
• Ensure availability and proper use of HSE equipment and tools.
• Plan, execute and report on HSE‑related projects.

Required profile

• Certified HSE Specialist with an A‑class certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance and process improvement.
• Proven experience coordinating audits and knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams such as Operations, HR and Real Estate.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Electrical safety experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work in Turkey.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
