Indirect Procurement Manager

About the role

The Indirect Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, managing and developing the company’s indirect procurement activities to align with business objectives. The role ensures that all indirect spend categories are sourced on time, at optimal cost, and in compliance with internal policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement indirect procurement strategies across categories such as technical materials, laboratory equipment, IT, fleet, office supplies and professional services.
• Lead end‑to‑end supplier sourcing, RFQ, tendering, contracting and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance, build sustainable relationships and identify alternative sources.
• Coordinate CAPEX procurement with technical teams and relevant business functions.
• Manage advertising, media, creative agency services and promotional material procurement.
• Track procurement budget, drive cost‑reduction initiatives and capture savings opportunities.
• Analyse processes, lead improvement projects and ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
• Lead, develop and monitor the performance of the procurement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of indirect procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing, with at least 3 years of people‑management responsibility.
• Proven experience across a broad range of indirect categories (technical materials, MRO, lab consumables, IT, fleet, professional services, advertising, promotional items, CAPEX).
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems experience, preferably SAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
