Supply Planning Specialist

About the role

As a Supply Planning Specialist you will own the supply planning activities for Henkel’s manufacturing site in South Africa and the broader IMEA region. You will work closely with factory teams to align weekly and monthly plans, monitor capacity, and address material constraints before they become bottlenecks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan weekly supply of finished‑goods (FG) materials and create planned orders and stock transfer orders (STOs) between plants.
• Monitor daily production quantities, follow up on open process orders, and coordinate pre‑ponement actions to avoid stock‑outs.
• Lead daily and weekly meetings with production, quality, RPM planners, logistics, sales and other functions to review plans, shortages, rework trends and inventory status.
• Escalate availability and delivery issues to the FG MEA Planning Manager when customer line‑stop risks arise.
• Maintain material master data, define safety‑stock norms and reduce slow‑moving inventory.
• Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports (write‑off, slow mover, days‑of‑stock, service level).

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of supply‑planning experience, preferably in FMCG or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to interact with all management levels.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Working knowledge of SAP (desirable).
