Lawyer – Senior Legal Adviser for Turkey

About the role

Benefit Systems is seeking a Lawyer to act as the senior legal adviser for its operations in Turkey. The role involves handling day‑to‑day legal matters while providing strategic guidance on legal risks, corporate governance and business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise and negotiate agreements with customers, business partners, suppliers and consultants.
• Create and standardise contract templates and develop new contract models as needed.
• Provide employment law advice on onboarding, off‑boarding, disciplinary actions, performance, benefits and working conditions.
• Coordinate employment disputes, litigation and mediation with external law firms.
• Prepare formal notices on receivables and manage enforcement and litigation proceedings.
• Prepare Board of Directors and General Assembly resolutions and manage signature authorities, powers of attorney and trade registry procedures.
• Draft and update privacy notices, data processing agreements, cookie policies and other online privacy texts in line with KVKK and GDPR.
• Develop internal policies, provide training on competition law, trade secrets, information security and data protection.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, including work allocation, performance and budget oversight.

Required profile

• Law degree with admission to practice law in Turkey.
• Proven experience in commercial, employment and data‑privacy law.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess legal risks quickly.
• Excellent communication skills to advise senior management and cross‑functional teams.
• Leadership potential to build and expand a legal function.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Turkish commercial and employment legislation.
• Expertise in KVKK and GDPR compliance.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Ability to manage litigation and coordinate with external counsel.
