Lead Robotics & Automation Engineer

About the role

The Robotics & Automation Engineer leads robotics and automation transformation projects across manufacturing operations, working from concept through commissioning and handover. The role improves safety, quality, productivity, sustainability and efficiency through industrial automation, Industry 4.0 technologies and AI-enabled solutions, in close collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, IT/Digital Technology and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead robotics and automation projects from concept, engineering, commissioning and handover to production
• Ensure the reliability, optimization and continuous improvement of automation systems
• Use Industry 4.0 technologies, industrial networking, AI applications and data analytics to improve efficiency and decision-making
• Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver technical solutions
• Evaluate emerging technologies and promote digital innovation across manufacturing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering, automation engineering, robotics engineering or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience implementing industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment
• Good verbal and written English and Turkish; willing to work at the Gebze plant
• Desired: strong communication and stakeholder management, problem-solving, documentation and planning, project management, OT/IT integration, troubleshooting, equipment reliability and OEE improvement, and contribution to the company's digital transformation strategy
