Learning Assistant

About the role

The Human Resources Section’s Capacity Development Team is looking for a Learning Assistant to support UN Volunteers’ learning programmes. You will help plan, organise and deliver a variety of virtual and in‑person training activities that form part of the UNV Learning Portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of workshops, webinars and other capacity‑development initiatives.
• Provide logistical, administrative and participant support for flagship programmes such as the Capacity Development Learning Facility.
• Offer technical assistance for virtual learning platforms and ensure smooth participant engagement.
• Identify, onboard and coordinate facilitators, trainers, guest speakers and resource persons.
• Maintain training materials, facilitator guides, participant registers, attendance records and learning statistics.
• Support travel processing, post‑event follow‑up and the compilation of feedback and evaluation data.
• Maintain learning records, databases and trackers in line with established procedures.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating learning or training programmes for volunteers or staff.
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Familiarity with virtual learning environments and the ability to provide platform support.
• Excellent communication skills for participant outreach and stakeholder coordination.
