Legal Counsel (Turkish & EU Dual Citizenship)

About the role
Karub Holding, a global energy, foreign trade, construction and mining company founded in Dubai in 2013 and headquartered in Istanbul, is looking for a lawyer who holds both Turkish citizenship and the citizenship of an EU member state. The role manages the legal side of the group's European and international operations, based in Beyoğlu, Istanbul.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the legal affairs of the holding and its group companies in Turkey and Europe
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts in Turkish, English and French
- Advise on EU regulations, company formation, investment and cross-border transactions
- Oversee contract and compliance matters for the London office and the European supplier network
- Support the legal framework of operations in Francophone West Africa
- Guide the company on compliance, KVKK/GDPR and commercial regulations
- Coordinate with law firms, institutions and business partners abroad and monitor litigation and disputes
Required profile
- Law degree and admission to a Turkish Bar Association
- Dual citizenship: Turkish and an EU member state
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial, corporate, contract or EU law
- Fluent English and Turkish, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally with no travel restrictions; military service completed or exempt preferred for male candidates
- European education, internship or work experience, and experience with international organisations, cross-border projects or in-house legal teams
- Admission to a bar in an EU member state
Required skills
- Proficiency in French (German, Arabic or another European language is a plus)
- Contract drafting and negotiation
- GDPR/KVKK compliance knowledge
