Mechanical Analysis Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

GE Aerospace is looking for a Mechanical Analysis Engineer to join its team in Istanbul in a hybrid capacity. The engineer performs mechanical analysis for new technology development programs and works across multiple teams, helping to achieve program KPIs and advance GE Aerospace's technology leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analysis for new technology development programs
• Work across multiple teams and contribute to the design and development of products, solutions and systems, including technical improvements of existing products and components
• Execute standard operational and technical tasks, adapting their sequence to changing work situations
• Lead projects and communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to drive technical excellence

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering
• Solid background in Mechanics of Materials and strong fundamentals in solid mechanics, theory of elasticity and numerical methods
• At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in finite element analysis
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Collaborative, problem-solving and self-motivated; interested in learning and sharing knowledge

Required skills

• Finite element analysis with ANSYS or other commercial FEA software (ABAQUS, Optistruct, Nastran, Patran)
• Familiarity with CAD (Unigraphics or other commercial CAD software)
• Preferred: stress and life analyses, design optimization, failure investigations and test capability assessment of engine hardware
• Preferred: preparing and presenting technical data to internal and external customers, documenting technical data in line with engineering policies
