Medical Affairs Manager – Advanced Surgery & Anesthesia

About the role

Baxter is seeking a Medical Affairs Manager to lead the medical strategy for Advanced Surgery and Anesthesia across the CEEMEA region. You will act as a trusted scientific partner, supporting internal teams and external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, KOLs, and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute medical strategies and tactical plans aligned with business objectives.
• Respond to and document medical inquiries, and review scientific materials such as slides, brochures, and white papers.
• Deliver lectures, webinars, and trainings both internally and externally.
• Engage KOLs through field visits, peer‑to‑peer discussions, advisory boards, and evidence‑generation initiatives.
• Plan, budget, organize and execute medical initiatives including advisory boards, symposia, masterclasses, and sponsorships.
• Attend congresses, stay current with publications, and travel for field visits, workshops, and business reviews.
• Participate in OR settings, surgical wet labs, and anesthesia simulations at centers of excellence.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MD) in Surgery or Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required; surgical or anesthesiology expertise is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of disease states, clinical pathways, treatment guidelines, and therapeutic areas relevant to advanced surgery and anesthesia.
• Proven ability to evaluate scientific evidence and translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams and building relationships with KOLs, scientific societies, and regulatory authorities.
• Demonstrated initiative, resilience, and commitment to continuous learning in a dynamic healthcare environment.
